Prostate Cancer that has spread to the Rectum

Hello, I have prostate cancer that has spread to my rectum ,and am wondering if anyone else had had the same ,I have started hormone treatment and had my first hormone injection last week I am still getting lots of pain in my anus and it is still bleeding with clear muscus .Can anyone tell me if this does subside after time with hormone treatment

Any advise on this would be very much appreciated

Hi Clive, I’m so sorry about your diagnosis and I cannot answer your question because my husbands mets are bones and lung. I just thought I would say hello and welcome you to the group. It’s a great help to me and I’m sure the boys will be on soon to help you with this question.

Hi,

I'm not in the same boat, but the hormone therapy should certainly reduce the problem, though the response may not be quick - we're talking weeks or a couple or three months before you get maximum benefit. How much it helps would depend very much on the details of your PCa, so I can't help there!
