Hi All

Ivy got advanced prostate cancer and have now arrived at a point where although I am have been on Prostap for a year I have a swollen lymph node just below my kidney . The uretic was squeezed shut so I had to ave a bypass pipe from the kidney to my bladder.

My thought now is if the swollen node is the cancer how has this happened as I have virtu no testosterone due to the testosterone.

Hi Bill,

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had this development and I wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery.
Did they remove the node for pathology testing? I’m hoping your oncologist or urologist can help here but it’s such a worry for you in the meantime.
I’m going through something similar with my hubby who has started rectal bleeding. He has advanced metastatic PC and has been on Prostap for only 3 months and Zytiga for 3 weeks.
Can’t wait to talk to the dr tomorrow. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and each other posted.. wishing you every best wish.

Hi Bill,

Did they do any investigations before they bypassed? If it was big enough to squeeze your ureter, it's big enough to show on scans.

What did the doctors think it was?

Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
