Hello everyone. I have just joined the forum. I'm 71 years old and had a T3a & M0 diagnosis 4 years ago this month. I was on Zoladex implants for 18 months but a consultant took me off after 18 months because of a heart condition that preceded my cancer by a few years. Currently on the "stable prostate cancer" list which means I get a phonecall every 6 months. My PSA level is going up but I have already had radiotherapy (plus the Zoladex) so I am unsure what I could be offered if/when I am referred back into treatment. Any messages would be gratefully received. Cheers

  • Hi

Theres a few things they could do, one is hormone therapy, another is the new medication enzalutamide or arberaterone just some that come to mind there are others, I’m sure some of the other guys will tell you.

    Stay safe

Thanks for that, joe, I hadn't heard of the meds you mention so I will have a look at them. I doubt they would reintroduce hormone therapy as I've already been taken off it - unless there's a different one to Zoladex.

    Cheers
