Hi im totally new to forums and chats. Ive decided to join as i need some support and maybe questions answered by people with experience. My dads 75 diagnosed with advanced prostate. Bone mets been confirmed. Psa 58.6 confirmed. Hes been in hospital 4 weeks now. No treatment has been offered and Mdt meeting has been rearranged 4 times. Today was 4th time. So ive just left the hospital and looking for a bit of a release. Hope this is the place. I want to find out about pallitive care at home and how consistent it is. What to expect with dad? I have no idea about time frames or treatments as nothing has been explained so far. My heads swimming as you can probably tell. Hes done so well for nearly 10 years. Hes so very poorly now its just so cruel. Blessings to all xxxx
Hi
Bad news about your dad, no idea why they will not tell you anything, some people who might are McMillan nurses, they can explain everything to you far better than I could, give them a call, tell them what you know ask for a visit if need be, I’m sure they will help.
Stay safe
Joe
Hello, so sorry to hear about your Dad. Has your Dad not got a Cancer care co-ordinator? When I was diagnosed in August she had a chat with me and gave me a direct number and anything I want to know or discuss she is my point of call and importantly she liases with the Oncologist. You really need to have some answers in relation to your Dad's treatment and care. Best wishes, Graham.
