Hi, new to this. OH diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and bone metastasis. Started on hormone injections and arnitaterone. Initial PSA was 1503 and now down to 12.2.
I have never seen anyone with psa that high at start and is worrying. He is taking it quite well, very tired and obviously a bit down some days.
I find it difficult some days and just wanted some idea ohow others in similar situations are coping
Hi
Sorry about how he is, there has been other PSA scores much higher, mine was 893, bone mets is common with this type of high PSA in my case ribs, pelvis and spine. No organs if he’s the same then things will be good for a few or more years to come. What’s his age just wonder why chemotherapy was not used ? Although arberaterone is a first class treatment. Try and stay positive his PSA wil drop even further with treatment.
Stay safe keep talking to us.

Hi ali3
I was diagnosed with the same although my PSA was nowhere near that high. I was also put on Abiraterone and Prednisolone straight away with monthly Degarelix injections. It seems to work well and my oncologist said during trials it was found to be better than chemo early as it targeted the cancer better.
I also get tired and feel down some days but you can only play the cards you are dealt and make the most of your time.
