Hi All
Sorry but new to this and finding it hard to navigate posts.
My husband had a prosectomy in July of last year, after which his levels have risen to 0.21 so a doubling time of 3.8 months. I am assuming he will need radiotherapy and ADT and I am really worried. His gleason was 4+3 5(<5), with positive margins. Has anyone else been here that could offer some insight as to future. Thank you.
Try not to worry too much. Your husband has plenty of treatment options open to him and still has every chance of achieving a cure.
At some stage they may do a PSMA PET scan to identify where any remaining cancer is located so it can be targeted effectively when treated.
Radiotherapy and hormone therapy are very effective treatments these days and can target cancer in most parts of the body.
The main thing your husband will have to deal with is the side effects of a second round of treatment. This applies particularly to hormone therapy, however, even with this the effects are temporary and most improve after treatment stops.
So stay positive and keep us posted on how your husband is progressing.

Yes, I agree. Still on the curative long term remission pathway. AW
