Had my catheter removed on Thursday, very lucky to be continent straight away but have a burning/stinging when urinating which I did expect for a few days but it doesn't seem to be improving. Also it doesn't feel like I'm emptying my bladder and seems to be peeing a lot, had to get up five times in the night! Has anyone else had this experience? Sorry if this is me being impatient or overthinking.
Hello Atty67
I still have most of my Prostate but had an indwelling catheter for over 10 months.
I am not medically trained but it sounds very much to me like you may have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) and you need to contact your team ASAP. Whilst on to them mention the increase in your toilet visits too.
Do let us know how you get on.
Best wishes - Brian.
