Hi everyone
It's been a wee while since I last started a new thread, so thought I'd pop on with a little update on how things are going with Paul and us.
Paul is doing okay, although the fatigue is definitely becoming more noticeable these days. He's now beginning to struggle with work as a mental health nurse, with both the physical and emotional demands of the job taking their toll. He has a meeting with HR at the end of this month, so hopefully we can find a way forward that makes things a little easier for him.
His PSA continues to be on the higher side, sitting at 10.4 last month. We're not expecting much change this month, but thankfully his scans appear stable, which is something we're holding on to.
It's now 15 months since that devastating diagnosis that turned our world upside down. Some days are certainly harder than others, but we remain as positive, hopeful and determined as ever. We're still making memories, enjoying life and taking each day as it comes.
We're currently enjoying a lovely wee break away in Kenmore, making the most of some precious time together.
And I couldn't resist sharing a photo of our gorgeous 4-month-old pup, Bruce! He's brought so much love, laughter and happiness into our lives, and has been the most wonderful little distraction through everything.
Sending love and strength to everyone navigating their own journey. xx
