Today I received two letter, the same content from our local NHS telling me that now patients will automatically be sent a link to access my results, using an automated messaging system.

Before I had to phone around before I could get the result which sometimes was quite time consuming and distressing.

Is this new to everyone, they are using NetCall to do this, do others get their results sent automatically?

  • Hello

Well that must be easier for you getting your results that way.

Sadly as usual the NHS isn't joined up and it depends on your hospital trust which system they use. There's an app called "Patient Knows Best", one of my NHS Trusts uses one called "MY Chart" and of course there's the NHS App too.

I am on 3 monthly PSA Tests. I arrange my own test online at my local Hospice on a Monday and have a consultants meeting on the following Thursday where I receive my PSA results and we decide and treatment if any for the next 3 months. My results are supplied to my GP and also turn up on the NHS App.

It looks like "NetCall" is another supplier to add to the list.

    Best wishes - Brian.
