Morning,I understand everyone is different but is 5 and a half weeks to early to have first PSA test done after prostatectomy? Husband was booked to have blood test done end of next week but was at drs for a different reason yesterday and mentioned he was back next week for PSA test and they said they could do it there and then,so he let them! I'm now panicking that it's to early!
Hi AJH it is slightly early but won’t matter. Any reduction will be good. Normally 6 to 8 weeks to allow the body to get rid of the PSA protein. Another test in 3 months if possible.
Best wishes, David
