Still cancerfree 6 years after treatment. Of course I am happy to be alive and enjoy life but I have to admit the late side effects give me some psychological meltdowns. Every organ in the middle of my body is affected and there is a constant numbness in the pelvic floor Some days i feel guilty for not beeing happy. I have 3 grandchildren, I have a supportive wife, I can afford travel werever i want, but still there is a mental pain connected to the dysfunctional parts of the body. All advices welcome!
Hello Ollis (Ollis)
I do remember "speaking" to you last year and am so sorry to read you are still suffering.
We have been chatting on the group in the last week to quite a few people who have completed treatment and I have pointed them in the direction of this paper:
After The Treatment Finishes - Then What?
Find yourself quarter of an hour, make a brew and sit down and have a read - I am sure you will find this helps.
You may also wish to join this group:
as I an sure you will find help and support there too.
I hope the above helps and you find it possible to move forward.
Best wishes - Brian.
