I'm now 4 months after all treatments stopped. Was on regulolix for 6 months then 1 month on EBRT. They are happy to let me go but I'm struggling with strength, tiredness, pain in toes and hand joints plus mood swings. They say everybody different and things will change over the year. Just like to know how others have got through this stage and how quickly you got back to normal
Hello Lesic,
I'm afraid I can't help directly because I didn't suffer any significant side effects from my initial RT/HT treatment.
However, my reply will push your post back up to the top of the page and hopefully you'll receive replies from others who can help.
Derek.

Hi Lesic,
As you say, everybody is different in how they react to HT & RT, & a lot can depend on your age & perhaps more importantly how fit you were before treatment began.
I had 9 mths of Decapeptyl plus initially Bicalutamide along with 20 fractions of RT & fortunately didn't suffer too much with any side effects. Those I had were more of a nuisance rather than being a problem.
My best tips are to eat a healthy diet (although I did & still do have the occasional fast food treat), keep as active as you can even when the tiredness kicks in and continue drinking approx 2 litres of water a day along with other drinks you may have.
I'm sure others will be along shortly with their thoughts & that time improves how you are feeling.
Best Wishes
Brian
