Good afternoon all.
On Triptorelin Injections for at least the next 2 years now after my 20 Fractions and my weight is starting to creep up .
Not too bad at moment but could do with losing a Stone or two. Scared it will keep increasing. I have a disability that already effects my walking.
I Do go to gym a couple times a week but just haven't got the will power to stop eating as much as i do.
Anyone using weight loss jabs or tablets?
Is it possible with Prostate cancer drugs?
Any advice would be gladly received.
Thank you
Mark
Hello Mark (Hammer. )
Welcome to my world!!
The first 3 years on Hormone Therapy saw me put on 3.5 stone!! I had a break and my PSA started to climb so it was back on Hormone Therapy for me.
My oncologist didn't want me to put on any more weight (neither did I!!) so as the NHS refused to sew my lips together , I was put on Ozempic.
In 8 months I have lost 2 stone without much change to my diet and lifestyle. I have had no side effects from the drug although they do start you off for the first 4 weeks 1/4 dose and the next 4 weeks 1/2 dose before the full dose.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian.
