Hi everyone. Well, update after my PET scan results today. It showed sign of cancer(in the lymph node) a treatment plan seems to be getting closer. I have T3BN1 cancer staging.
PSA 121,
Prostate 92cc
MCL9mm Right Side.
I am already taking Bicalutamide tablets, which is hormone tablet. I am having hormone injections which start next Thursday (23rd) every 3 months. Then in a couple of months, I have to have to have radiotherapy, because it’s in my groin lymph node.
At last, things are moving.
Take care everyone.
Well GedExe, you're through the diagnostic process which also I found was very difficult due to the uncertainty of what's to be faced but also because I'm impatient.
Bicalutamide followed by HT will stop the cancer in its tracks and give you some breathing space to try and resume a more normal routine before RT starts in a few months. Don't be concerned about RT, it's really easy and I found the worst thing was trecking to and from the hospital every day.
Try to relax and enjoy spring and early summer in the meantime.
All the best,
Derek.
