Post prostatectomy T3b N1 M0 with a 0.1 psa from 2 Active Surveillance checks. What next?
Pleased with psa results but nit sure about AS 2 monthly , just seems waiting until things get worse?
Hello Appy
To be honest I am amazed you have had surgery being a T3b and N1 but understand they removed the lymph nodes and seminal vesicles with the Prostate and you had clear margins.
The NICE guidelines for PSA testing after surgery are every 6 months for the first 5 years. I think because of your TNM score and the cancer had left the gland if they are screening you every 2 months then they are being cautious and I would be very happy with that.
0.1 is very acceptable and it sounds very much like your team are looking after you. Let's hope the PSA stays low.
Best wishes - Brian.

You sound worried Appy when I’d be happy, Appy.
What are your worries? Is it that the 2monthly cycles for re testing your PSA is too much?
3 months are quite normal, 6 months normal, 12 months fine and dandy if it’s only AS.
