Hi
I have lost my threat again.
My dad has prostate biopsy booked in for tomorrow at 11 and he has podiatry booked in for 3.30.
May I ask is this doable I'm worried he going to be in pain after it.
He also has CT scan the next day it gone from everything going slow to speeding up.
Dad also has suspected skin cancer on his nose so waiting for an appointment for that.
With his feet his toenails are falling off and it unclear what the cause is. When I have good images these ( I know I shouldn't have) that has come up cancer too. So it essential he goes but now I'm like is he going to manage the two appointments in one day. I can't rearrange the CT as we have been waiting for this as everything he is eating is going straight through him. He won't do the stool sample test. He lost an awful lot of weight in feeding him up but no sign of weight gain.
Sorry worried and panicked.
Kind regards
Sasha
Hi Sasha not sure there is a definitive answer but I would keep the appointments. After my biopsy I was a little like a wounded animal and wanted quiet, but could have managed another appointment and it might even have taken my mind off things. Most healthcare professionals make allowances for other symptoms and age in my experience.
Best wishes, David

Hello Sasha,
Guys react differently to the biopsy but in my case I only felt a little uncomfortable after having it & even stopped off for lunch on the way back home. As David2017 says it may even give your dad something else to focus on & if it helps his feet situation then even better.
If he doesn't feel up to it then I'm sure podiatrist will understand if you have to cancel at short notice.
Hope it all goes well tomorrow.
Best Wishes
Brian
Thank you David. Crazy been waiting for a few weeks for appointment to come through and now they come through all at once I am relieved and thankful as I'm on A/L this week so don't need to sort cover for my shift in work to manage to take him. I can't get through to chase up for skin dr. Urgent referral went in 4.2.26 and we haven't received an app as of yet.
Thank you for always taking time to respond to me. I truly appreciate your time in responding.
Sasha
Thank you. He very stubborn so he probably say he fine and carry on. Just need the answers now. It feels like we been waiting for a long time. We haven't but it draining waiting for answers. There so much stuff going on with him it figuring out what to sort out first. It overwhelming at times.
Thank you for taking time to respond. I really appreciate it

Hello Sasha I would suggest if he’s having a local anaesthetic for the biopsy he should be OK but maybe not after a general. I had a local and just felt a bit woozy afterwards for a short while, I’m guessing the anaesthetic was working its way out, but was fine the rest of the day. But we’re all different so keep an eye on him and having the podiatrist’s phone number handy might be useful. Hope it does go well for both of you.
Hi Sasha. a few months back I had my Biopsy which was a breeze for me. I chatted about golf and Football with the chap while taking the samples. This was around 9.30am.
3pm I had a full body bone scan (came back clear). I had to have a tracer injection around 12.30am and just wait or wander around the hospital grounds in the middle of December. The scan was also a breeze which took around 30 minutes.
Take Care Dave
Hello Sasha
I think your question about the biopsy, podiatry and CT scan has been answered by others - I wish dad well with these appointments.
We do have a group for skin cancer and should you wish to join this group - here's the link you need:
As for the appointment (Skin Cancer) and weight loss - i think you need to chase both of these up with the GP.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Sasha,
Well by now your dad should have had his biopsy & hopefully was feeling up to the podiatry appointment & you can relax just a little bit now that part is over. It's now a waiting game for the biopsy results which can seem to drag on, so fingers crossed you won't have to wait too long.
Best Wishes

Hi all
All went well managed to go for food and got to podiatry it's just a fungal infection thankfully.
I am little annoyed when we went today they said dad needs an urgent PET scan but back in Jan they cancelled it saying he didn't need it . But all went smoothly can see he in a little discomfort but won't take pain meds.
Going to try and chance up skin clinic tomoz I'm in the same hospital so I will go down there as I can't get a hold of them on the phone. They want dad to weigh weekly concerned with weightloss and no sign of gaining weight.
CT tomorrow for bowel pelvis area
Thank you all for your support.
Many thanks
Sasha
