Hi, My partner had a radical prostatectomy in March 2025. Almost a year on he still has severe urinary incontinence so will soon have tests to determine if a sphincter will help with this. If he is suitable the sphincter op. is likely to be this September. He is a keen cyclist and I'd like to hear any experiences/advice from cyclists following this operation please. We know that potentially it could be some time before he may manage to cycle. Many thanks
Hello Helga
A belated warm welcome to the group although I am so sorry to find you joining us. I can't answer your question but by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and be seen and I hope answered by someone who has the experience.
My answer would be to ask your partner's team the question BEFORE the tests and operation - they should be able to answer your question.
Best wishes - Brian.
