Disappointing climax

After radiation treatment and 3 years hormone therapy (finished 4 years ago) and recommended sex drive I find sexual activity more an anti climax than a climax compared with before. Current PSA is 0.14 so am still happy I had treatment but along with dry ejaculation find sex disappointing. Is there any way of improving things?

  • Hello

Welcome back - although I am sorry to see you posting again with an issue - at least your PSA is very low so that's happy days.

    A few thoughts of mine:

    * Have you had your Testosterone levels tested ?

    * Here's a link to our information on this issue which may help:

      Sex-life-and-prostate-cancer.

    * We have a thread on the Cancer Chat Group where people with various cancers chat about this issues and ways to resolve the issues - again, link here

I hope the above helps - I am sure others will be along with their advice.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Prefect

I had RT in 2017 but no HT.

It does take time to get used to dry ejaculations , even.now still feel s a bit odd.

Other than that it's ok but perhaps as we get older it doesn't mean as much, I see you're 78 and I'm nearly 73 so perhaps not at the top of the bucket list. But good news about PSA and perhaps someone will be along soon to give u some good advice, I'm waiting Grin , for any tips .

    All the best

    Steve

  • Thank you Brian. I've not had testosterone level checked for some years so that may be worth organising to see if it can be improved. Many thanks Reg.

  • Thanks for that. I need to update as I've just reached 80 so perhaps my expectations are a bit high.
