Im Just about 18 months in to my prostate cancer diagnosis.
Gleason score of 9. I've been on the pace nodes trial and have had all my radiotherapy now.
I'm taking Tamsulosin but also other medication for various issues. Just wanted to ask if anyone is also suffering joint pain ie hips, thumbs.
I'm having the hot flushes every day and night as also having prostap injection every 3 months.
Thanks all.
Hello Lock
My thoughts (not medically trained) -
* Joint pain (bone pain) is listed as a side effect of Prostap (and Hot Flushes) in the Patient Information Leaflet. You may not have seen this as whoever gives you the injection will just bin it.
Patient Information Leaflet - Prostap.
If it continues - then you need a GP appointment.
* I am on a different HT treatment - I had serious hot flushes - I started on Sage tablets and two weeks later I never had another one. They don't work for everyone and check with your team they are OK with you taking them.
i hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Lock , my understanding is that if you get pain in both thumbs (symmetric) it is unlikely to be PCa related but something like arthritis which is being upset by HT or just the HT itself which can cause joint pain.
Best wishes, David
