Codeine doesn’t work for me but Oramorph does work for certain pains.
My question would be where are your OH’s pains?
All my pain relief is set and reset by the hospice doctors who are expert in pain relief.
Where is you're advice coming from?
I would report back to the GP or whomever and chat to a pharmacist to sort the pills you have.
Good luck
Pain meds are set by hospital consultant but seen across by hospice and GP pharmacist. We will explore with further
Hello Selina19649c
It all depends on who has prescribed the medication and you need to go back to them:
* If it's the GP he needs to know and check with the pharmacist - there could be a "medication clash" causing this.
* If it's the hospital it could be the same issue - although some hospitals/hospices have a specialist "pain clinic" who could help.
I do hope you get this sorted.
Best wishes - Brian.
