My Nationwide travel Insurance is up for renewal in a few weeks so after speaking to the renewal team I have been refused Insurance for my prostate cancer which didn't surprise me. So I have been calling various companies to try and get Insured for future holidays.
It takes about 40 mins to get through all the questions and the format must be generic between the different insurers because they all use the exact wording and questions and at the end the same result. As soon as you mention that the cancer has now spread they don't want to know.
I have had one quote online which was £,3500!! for an annual cover for me and my partner.
So hopefully someone on here with similar diagnoses as my self will be able to pass on a company that they have managed to get insurance with at a reasonable cost.
TIA

Derek (excavator ) posted some cracking advice in this thread yesterday regarding travel insurance:
I have an annual worldwide police with insurance-with - it covers me and Mrs M - she has issues too - medical I should add and that's about £ 780 which I find to be ok.
I do hope you get something sorted.
Best wishes - Brian.

Good morning
we have a yearly insurance for my husband and I
He is palliative PC & I have long standing health issues . We were the same with exuberant prices but did the online quote with Holiday Safe and the question that you need to think about is are you terminal . Well our consultant has never used those words so I said no ( checked it out with him at next visit and I was right he is not terminal) so think about the questions , answer honestly . We were quoted I think £750 ish for both for a year .
let us know how you get on
best wishes
Liz & OH xx
Hi Liz,
Thanks for that I just did an online quote and thankfully the prices back were much more acceptable. I will call them tomorrow just to make sure I've filled in the online form correctly.
Kind regards Lee
