Hi all does anyone know if hormone treatment and radiotherapy effect your blood counts ?
Hello Mace
Yes they both can and it's happened to me. Both can lead to a reduction in red blood cells and cause anemia, and also a drop in I think lymphocytes (I can't remember what they do!!).
The significant one for me is I am type 2 diabetic and it put my Hba1c count up. My GP countered this by increasing medication and letting me off with a slightly higher reading than normal.
If you are having issues have a word with your GP - if you are feeling ill call 111.
Best wishes - Brian.
