16 days into RT, tired and a bit emotional, I have just posted goodnight to a new contributor "Odd Man In" and just thought that I would post a good night to every one that this dreadful illness touches.

Goodnight and sleep well xx and thank you for your contributions.

  • Hello

And a good night to you too.

    tired and a bit emotional

And there's nothing wrong with being tired and emotional. At first I worried about showing my emotions whilst on Hormone Therapy - now I am quite proud to be able to cry in public - it's our exclusive club!!

You are doing great - nothing to worry about - sleep well.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi KJ911, I hope you managed a good nights sleep and feel better today? The RT is tiring and it takes some time afterwards to regain some energy. Throw HT into the mix and you have every excuse for being  tired and emotional. I obviously didn’t have the treatment myself  but suffice it to say that I was extremely tired and emotional throughout the worst of it all. It is allowedBlush you are doing ok, the end of RT is in sight! Hang on in there and know we are all behind you willing you on and hoping for every success with your treatment.

  • I think that for many that undergo RT, a good nights sleep is the last thing you get. The good news is that the constant night time visits to the bathroom soon tail off as soon as the RT finishes.

  • My wife has sat with me for every appointment, packed and repacked my bag - I have latex gloves, bio degradable wipes, hand sanitiser, enemas, water bottle and cuddly toy! (CO my daughter), spare boxers (just in case), she has eaten my sandwiches, ensured I have the parking pass and put up with me and smiled all of the way.

She deserves a medal and is as tired as I am.

  • I do look forward to fewer broken nights and visits to the WC. Minor inconvenience compared with what others go through
