Had my Biopsy this morning. Happy it’s over and as a lot of you have said it’s not the worst thing in the world. Went for a local anaesthetic and got through no issues. Weirdest feeling was the ultrasound probe though. Could feel plenty of movement off that. Doctor said my lesion was at the top of the prostate so was tricky enough to access. He said he was very happy with the samples that they got. So waiting now for 2 weeks but expecting to be informed that it’s going to be cancerous so won’t be a shock. Said I’ll probably pass blood in urine for a day or two so, should I watch out for anything else or could that be the worst of it ?
Hi, glad it wasn't too bad, I thought the same tbh. All I was told was blood in urine for a few days to 2 weeks, blood in semen for up to 6 weeks, and to monitor your temperature because if you get a fever or chills it could be a sign of infection and could potentially lead to Sepsis (rare though), and if that is the case get yourself up to A&E quickly. Also take it easy for 48 hours, no heavy lifting or weight training, and drink plenty of fluids.
Good luck moving forward. Jay
