Hi Brian. For some reason I cannot send a private message. I am having my op on wed and I’d just like to thank you for all the help you given me over the last 5 months You advice and calmness ( even though you’ve had your own issues) has helped my journey. The few pints we shared on that sat really helped as well. I’ll always look out for the Latics results I know my option wasn’t what you would have done but for me I think it’s my best way forward mentally more than anything I’m not going to leaving this forum but thought I’d check in with you before wed . Again. Many thanks. Cheers. Simon
Hello Simon (Simon64)
Thanks for the message - the private messaging facility is down at the moment as we are having IT issues and I am trying to find out when it will be back up and running!
I am in the last week of a 5 week holiday in Turkey and actually land back in Manchester the day before your operation - I have a diary note to message you - but i don't need to do that now!!
The few hours we sat in the bar at Stalybridge Station and put the world to rights and we had a good old chat about your options was enjoyable. I can appreciate your thoughts and why you are going down the surgery route - I am not a fan of major operations if they can be avoided (personal opinion - not Macmillan!!).
I wish you well on Wednesday - I notice you have lots of support on here from others who are on the same route as yourself. Once you have recovered we can have another couple(Ish) of pints and you can tell me all about it.
Cheers and Kind Regards - Brian.

All the very best for your operation on Wednesday Simon64 . Having had the opportunity to myself I know you will have reservations but if I had to do it all again I would. My best advice would be to take your time with recovery, time is definitely the healer . Wishing you well for your op and your recovery
