Feeling a little melancholy mixed with thankful and optimistic this evening.

I just wanted to thank everyone I have connected with here for the support over the last months.

This is such a caring and safe space and has kept my head safely on my shoulders. No drama, no egos, just lovely people looking out for each other.

Social media and online forums can be so destructive and negative. It is so refreshing and calming and helpful to be part of this amazing community. Keep going and keep the support alive!

Hi FZh2p0 welcome to the forum.though it sounds like you are already part of what I know to be a super supportive thread in the Prostate Cancer thread. Feeling thankful and being optimistic are good feelings to have and I'm sure that you have supported others as time has gone along..Best Wishes for your ongoing recovery..Gail x

  • Hello Rob (

A cracking post - thank you for taking the time to write it.

As I always say it's OUR Community and WE make it work. The group has 3300+ plus members - not everyone is active but every post made is read hundreds of times by people who are not members of the Community, just "ghosting" through and sucking off the information they need.

I am aware that you have posted in support of others so thank you for your continued help on the Community - it's much appreciated.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Great post Rob and thank you for taking the time to offer helpful  advice on my thread

i have had a lot of back and forth since diagnosis , from looking at focal therapy , AS to SABR , strangely my initial thoughts were surgery was not for me , after though investigating all options and speaking to many different specialists I have decided on surgery, the people on this forum and the Prostate cancer UK forum have been so helpful in offering advice and support and have helped me get to get to my decision

it’s hard as given my own uncertainty and treatment confusion I have not been in a position to offer much help or advice  but I’m hoping once I have had treatment and have more knowledge I will be able to offer some support to others

  • Everyone is in the same situation whether you have PC or a spouse, partner or just someone who cares. This group are amazing .
    thank you Rob

    Best wishes & hugs
