Anyone know a good diet?

Like many who have troden that well worn path of HT and RT, I have put on a few pounds around my tummy.

Does this normally sort itself out over time, or do I need to take  positive steps to get rid of it? Anyone suggest any good diets that might help?

  • My OH  is still on HT and I use a Mediterranean type-diet . More  fruit / veg / fish/ chicken.   He walks every day am and also does resistance exercises at our local gym . This has bulked  up his arms and it’s reducing his tummy

    but everything in moderation .

    best wishes

  • Hi  ,

I'm afraid that the best way to get that weight off is "Smaller Plates"! I had gone up to 86kg when on HT but am now back down to 78kg. That's mostly due to not using any sugar and not eating cakes!

I make my own sourdough bread which I think is also better for you than shop bread, but not everyone has the time or the inclination to do that.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.

  • No cakes? Next thing somebody will be saying no chocolate Hobnobs.

  • I found that having one main meal a day at lunchtime suits me. Also avoids digestive problems which can result from eating in the late evening.

However, even under this regime I have still put on weight around my middle.

  • I had the same problem but lost two stones on the 4/3 diet.

  • Concerned about the same issue and having just been prescribed Abiraterone Krka 2 x 500 mg a day together with a steroid, in addition to my hormone injectionI thought I better do something! I am also partial to glass of scotch, which I accept is not good for me! However, the past four months have not been easy, as many of you know. So my new regime... No alcohol, lots of fresh fruit to substitute one meal and no processed food. Will I live longer? Not sure but it feels as if I will...!

I know it is something I should have done some time ago, but better late than never.
