Good morning
I had a PSA test this week 6 months after I finished my course of radiotherapy. The reading was 0.26 which I was quite pleased with. My original PSA reading at diagnosis was 9.85. I have a telephone appointment with my oncologist later this month, can anyone give me any advice on what I should be asking him.
Thanks
Sezlez
I think its more a case of what he has to say, you seem to be doing very well quite similar to my path, take a look on my profile .Hopefully he will confirm that its all looking good are you on HT or other meds do ask if you need to continue?? Wish you all the best David.
Hello sezlez
That's a cracking result. The radiotherapy keeps on working long after your last fraction and you can expect your nadir (lowest) PSA reading 18 months after RT has been completed.
I would just be checking how long you are to remain on PSA testing - (6 monthly for 2 years and yearly afterwards?).
Best wishes - Brian.

Thanks for that David. I'm not on any other medication currently.
