I have gone ahead with the surgery. It is now almost three weeks since the operation, robotic radical prostatectomy and everything is fine. Despite the warnings and the boxes of pads delivered, I am pleased to say that full urinary control is still in place, no leakage. I spoke at length to the surgeon and included it in the comments on my consent form that I wanted minimal, if any, nerve damage and loss of function. He obliged and recorded in the surgical notes that the parallel nerves were intact. It is still too early to say if there is any erectile dysfunction, it is only a week since the damn catheter came out and that is still a sore point though I do get considerable stiffening for night pees which is a good sign that the underlaying automatic nerve systems are working.
Good Afternoon Sardonnick
I thank you for your post and update on your surgery. I am pleased it has gone well for you and wish you all the best moving forward. All looks to be very positive.
Best wishes - Brian.
