Two years ago today at the age of 58 I first telephoned my doctor's about some symptoms I was having, and they were blood in my sperm. Within two weeks I think I had an MRA scan which showed cancer in my prostate, anyway after that I had biopsy which proved I had prostate cancer. Luckily it was very early stages and I was advised to have my prostate removed and think longterm regarding my sex life as nerve sparing prostatectomy was possible. On the 15th August 2023 at Bradford royal I had my operation and went home the day after. Now I am having regular PSA blood tests which are less than 0.01 and I feel I have been extremely lucky. If anyone on here in the same position as I was please feel free to contact me and I will happily answer any questions you might have regarding how I went on pre op and how I'm doing post op and hopefully I can help and reassure anyone else.
Oscarcharlie , thanks for your very positive post and for helping others on their own journeys. David
