New to the group.
I start my radiotherapy 2nd April on the Pace nodes trial (x5 intense sessions) over the next 2 weeks.
Just a question,
I'm getting really bad itching at the end of my penis. Seems to happen a few hours after taking Tamsulosin.
I'm also on prostap 3 injection every 3 months .
Can anyone help please.
Hi Lock . The itching could be as a result of the radiotherapy treatment such as cystitis or a urine infection so get it checked out as there are treatments. If the itching is happening on an intermittent basis after taking Tamsulosin then it is more likely to be a reaction to the drug. Also make sure that you are drinking plenty. I hope you get it sorted soon.
Hello Lock
Welcome to the group, although I am so sorry to find you joining us.
I use Tamsulosin and sad as I am have just re-read the PIL (Patient Information Leaflet) and what you have described is not one of the side effects (even rare side effects).
In view of this I think you need to contact whoever prescribe the medication (your GP or Team) and let them know of this specific side effect. I am NOT medically trained but it could be a medication clash.
Best wishes - Brian.
