Hi again. So up to Taunton yesterday for scan. My consultant called me this afternoon as she has received the report already and asked if I can see her tomorrow rather than dec 11th ( the date prior to me having an appointment for scan). We had a brief chat, the scan showed very little, nothing……..She thought that was positive news and somewhat backed up her initial earlier conversation with me that the likelihood is that cancer cells are left around the prostate bed. I’m slightly relieved however I guess it would have been better to have evidence of where the cancer is?? My last psa a few weeks ago was 0.23 , 3 months previous to this 0.11 and that was 3 months after prosatormy. Thanks.
Hi !
Sounds like really good news given the circumstances and from what I’ve read the prostate bed is normally where the recurrence is after prostatectomy. Sounds like a good salvage pelvic radiation perhaps with short term hormone therapy will be able to clean up this recurrence ones and for all I would think
Best wishes - Ulf
