Understandable you are worried.

keep an eye on the wound and see if it goes less red and watch 

When you worry about antibiotics working I used to say and still say when needed; 

I really trust the  medication/  Treatment is working.

The antibiotics dried it up. So thankful it didnt involve needing to be drained.
