Have had covid jab appointment and am enquiring any drama with having this as well as HT ?

  • Hi  , I have been on HT since BC (Before Covid) and had all the jabs with no problems at all.  I also go for the flu in Autumn and this year am being offered another extra one (can’t remember it’s name) as I am 75.  David

  • Hi Mal CG

I had COVID in February 2020 and was diagnosed with PCa in August 2020 with a Gleason score of 4+5=9.

I have had a total of 10 COVID jabs with RT in February/March 2023

I have not had any problems with the jabs.

    Hope you get on ok

    Regards

    Peter

  • You will be having the RSV injection.  I was looking forward to having it but am too old.  Apparently only on offer to those 75 - 80 and pregnant women and I will be 81 in October.

  • Not aware of any problems with having the Covid jab and flu jab and HT.  When I had HT I had the Flu jab with no problems. That was all before Covid but have not heard of anyone having problems because they are on HT.  I have had all the Covid jabs going and had no problems whatsoever with any of them.  Where as my wife had flu like symptoms and was quite fatigued for about 48 hours after 2 of them the first one and the third or fourth I think.

  • I think there may be more problems with not having the Covid jab? My husband has been told he is eligible for free Covid tests and , if positive, antivirals because he is more vulnerable having had radiotherapy. He’s had his Covid and flu jabs throughout ht and rt and the only slight problem has been a bit of a sore arm. HTH-..

  • Thanks for all your replies

I always have the jabs so I will keep on as usual
