I am now one month post Bracytherapy treatment and in general, I am doing OK but this weekend I have felt very fatigued and been off work for the last 2 days. I've taken this time to do nothing and sleep to try and get some energy back. I was just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has had this problem. The Internet is confusing as som sites say it could last just weeks where other sites say months. I'd love to hear from others on this.
Hello Celt1965
Thanks for your post - the side effects from Brachytherapy are almost the same as for radiotherapy and fatigue is included. Here's a link to our guide on Brachytherapy:
Prostate Cancer UK also have this cracking information sheet - again - here's the link:

My advice to all Community members when looking for information is to stick to trusted sources like Macmillan, Prostate Cancer UK and Cancer Research. Some of the information on "Dr Google" is either outdated or simply wrong.
The basic answer if fatigue can be caused by Brachytherapy and we all react to it differently.
Best wishes - Brian.

It may seem strange but the best antidote for fatigue from radiotherapy or brachytherapy is exercise. Try a short walk every day and gradually build up to longer ones. Swimming is also good.
I hope you find a way through.
