Well after nearly 4 months of anything that can go wrong going wrong I got to see my surgeon, Ed Calleja, In Eastbourne last week. I have a condition called Pudendal Neuralgia which comes under the umbrella of 'Chronic Pelvic Pain'. It was caused by nerve damage during the surgery due to complications (an infection in my bowel which I had no idea I had), he said hopefully it should right itself but it can take months and sometimes a year .. but I have been prescribed Amitriptyline which should relieve the symptoms.
Despite the name being Chronic Pelvic Pain mine is far from chronic .. more 'uncomfortable'.
As a plus my tummy wounds have finally healed up .. hooray ....
But just to reassure others .. I am in a very small minority with all these problems so don't let it put you off
I would like to thank everyone in here that has offered me comfort and advice during a very stressful and painful time ........ the light at the end of the tunnel has arrived and I am about to step into the light at any moment ........ :-)
