Hi, my husband was diagnosed with Metastised Prostate Cancer in December 2022. His initial PSA was 102 & is now 0.3. His Testosterone has been up & down over the last few months, it went from 14 to 0.3 to 0.2 & then this month is was 0.6. Has anyone else experienced this & should he be concerned. The nurse said its not clinically concerning
Hi Susielou56.
Everything is fine as far as I am aware.
Richard is on HT. in simple terms the Prostate cancer thrives on testosterone and if he has little/none the PC can't grow. The hormone therapy reduces the testosterone and the PC can't reproduce.
A PSA of 0.3 and testosterone of 0.6 is normal. I have been on HT for 18 months and my PSA is 0.576 and testosterone of 0.6.
I hope the above helps.
Kind Regards
Brian.
