Hi Bas. What was your PSA before treatment?

PSA was "only" 20 when I was diagnosed

Ok, Gleeson 9 is at the higher end but if still contained within the gland and no bone spread don't see why not still treatable.have u not been offered Radiotherapy?

Yes, radiotherapy was offered but I chickened out because of the possible side effects! Bone scan was clear so I just posted for the zoladex jabs every 12 weeks. Just hope the zoladex keeps working.

Hormone therapy doesn't necessarily work indefinitely so could be worth considering further treatment, u could have surgery instead.

• I had Radiotherapy and it really isn't anything to fear, in some respects easier than hormone therapy

Thanks for your input Steve, but I'll stick with the hormone therapy for now unless the PSA starts rising, I've been on it for 2 years so far, and it's still working ok!
