Well the time has come.
Tomorrow I start my Radiotherapy sessions, 37 sessions in all.
A lot of my family and friends are asking me do I need taking to the hospital.
It’s approximately 20 miles away, journey time around 40 minutes.
Having read a lot of the posts am I right in thinking that for the first couple of weeks I should be able to go by myself.
I do drive so transport isn’t an issue.
When I went for my planning scan it was mixed, people on their own and others with partners.
I spoke to the radiographer and she said that most people drive themselves to treatment.
I would love to hear views from others.

Hi Tyler
Good luck with your treatment, I'm sure that all will be fine.
As regards to the driving although I was only a few miles from the cancer center I went to work straight after treatment and that was a driving job, delivering cars, so it could be 100 mike's or more each way.
Wasn't a problem so should be ok for your 40 min drive
All the best
Steve
Although my wife always came with me I drove myself and never had any problems. Hope the treatment goes well.
