  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read that you've been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that you hadn't had any response to your post yet.

While you're waiting for replies you could use the search facility in the group to look for previous posts which mention lymph nodes in hilar and lung. You could also post any questions relating to this in the ask a nurse section of the community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to reply within 2 working days.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi, psa 5.4 , which is high for his age . Biopsy confirmed prostate cancer . MDT meeting this week which we believe will recommend robotic surgery.  CT lungs 11th November,  1st CT has shown lymph nodes in right lung and hilar , some 11mm . Liz

  • 5.4 is not particularly high for any age if u have PC confirmed, obviously slightly above normal

How did the lung mets show up as a MRI/CT would initially just cover the pelvic area?
