Just wondering what prescription level do you guys on Apalutamide have? Are you all on the full 4 tablets?

  • I have just started on it 4 tablets a day

  • Hi Lanzarote.

Good afternoon it's great to meet you here today!!!

Yes I have been on Apalutamide 4 tablets a day for over 12mnts and the HT treatment has reduced my PSA to single figures.

I do hope that this is helpful for you???

    Prostate Worrier.

  • Yes thank you. I am on 4 at the minute but have a rash on both shins - more like eczema/ psoriasis tbh doesn’t itch - so monitoring and may be dropped to 3, hoping this won’t affect keeping the Psa in check Fingers crossedFingers crossed

  • HI

Been on 4 Tablets a day for 25 months

  • I am a T3N0M1b person, 86 yrs old. Have been on Zoladex for 3 months. Currently getting SBRT ( 5 sessions) on my prostate only ( don't know why my doc does not want to zap my bone cancer sites!). My oncologist recently prescribed Apallutamide 2 tablets daily.

  • Hi lanzarote, my oh is on 3 monthly Zoladex and 4 tablets a day of Apalutamide. He also takes 1 tablet a week of aludronic acid tablet, and 2 evac calcium tablets a day. Forgive my spelling for the medications.  Best wishes Majestic.

  • Hello HkcL and all

i think that in the question of how anyone’s treatment is decided should be determined by both the medical team AND the patient. Decisions should take into account the risks and benefits of any treatment, the overall health status of the patient and the wishes of the patient. We are hearing of treatments that are mega expensive to deliver and yet they can cause horrible side effects and, perhaps, can only buy a very limited amount of extra life for patients.. it’s a tough one! I hope you and your team can arrive at the right decision for you
