Hi.
Just to let you all know that I have updated my profile this morning.
Unfortunately earlier this week I started to get bone pain down my right side.
I was having trouble sleeping, walking, sitting "not good"
The GP that I spoke to yesterday was very good and had a good understanding of PC.
He has given me the ok to introduce "Liquid Morphine" into my daily meds.
I have got my next appointment brought forward to a week next Tuesday to discuss "Plan B"

Oh dear, sorry to hear about the pain but hope the oramorph brings you some relief and that the oncologist can resolve it with ‘plan b’.
Hi Prostate Worrier. Sorry to hear you have problems and hope you can get comfortable with the morphine. Roll on plan B. Good luck, David
Hi Worriedwife.
Many thanks for your reply!!
Yes the Liquid Morphine seems to have taken the edge of things I suppose this maybe the next stage in my journey??
Many thanks

Hello PW, can I ask you to remember some very wise words I heard while doing my nurse training in the 1970s? I was told that keeping on top of pain results in needing less medication in the long run and is kinder for patients than letting pain getting on top of them. Please, too, remember, that pain control is now an important part of medicine and pharmacy and there is a lot that can be thrown at keeping pain under control.
good to hear that the oramorph is working! Well done to that dr who prescribed it!
Hi David2017.
Many thanks my friend, yes the Morphine is working well and I have got an appointment with my consultant a week on Tuesday to discuss Plan B.

Hi Worriedwife.
Yes you are correct in your assumption of pain as the more meds that are used they can in the long run counteract themselves.
I was given the Liquid Morphine by my GP in June 2023 upon diagnosis but I have only used it once until yesterday so hopefully this will be short-term.
Thanks again.

Hello Prostate Warrior, All the very best for your next appointment and plan B.
Majestic
Hi PW - your attitude towards your prostate cancer is, in my opinion, pretty awesome. The matter-of-fact delivery of news that you’re now on morphine for pain relief is remarkable and I salute your fortitude. AW
Hi Majestic.
Many thanks, yes fingers crossed for the plan B what ever it will be and the fight continues!!!
