docetaxel and neuropathy / numbness

Husband developed neuropathy in the legs and feet three days into the first cycle which lasted for several days. Medical team gave more supportive drugs with chemotherapy for second and subsequent cycles which reduced neuropathy to three days. This manifested itself as stumbling when walking and difficulty in doing up shirt buttons. He said it felt like numbness and weakness. I understand that it could also manifest as tingling or pins and needles. After the 6 cycles the neuropathy has disappeared. I would make sure that the professionals are aware that you have this side effect from the COVID vaccine. Hopefully the chemotherapy will not exacerbate your neuropathy.

Hi, firstly good luck with your chemo. My husband is currently having the same and has had 4 sessions so far. No tingling or numbness, the only symptom has been a metallic taste that starts 3 days after the session and lasts about 6 days. 

Hi KTC, not during or just after treatment. About 8 months after chemo finished the ends of both big toes went numb and remain so.
