have any of you guys who had surgery ever been referred to an ED clinic later into recovery?
Thanks Paul
Hi Paul. I had surgery last September. I haven't been referred to an ED Clinic as such.
I was given a standard letter to give to my GP at my pre-op appointment with my specialist nurse. That was to request him to issue 5mg of Tadalafil a day for two years following my op.
I also had a telephone appointment with an ED nurse about 4 months post op. That was instigated by my Consultant. She went through various options. I opted for a vacuum pump (which I find pretty good). She said I could always contact her in the future if I wanted to take up any other options. My ED has progressively improved but it is far from perfect. If I was twenty years younger (I am 69) I would be gutted but at my age and stage in life I am thankfully able to accept it. I would probably have taken up all options twenty years ago.
Thanks Static, I didn't really have any follow up from the consultant yet, 9 months post op. I have been mixing Tad and Sidelifil but I find the indigestion gets to me if I do them too regulary. Ive just contacted the consultant to refer me to the ED clinic, so we shall see how that goes. Im 54 and in a second long term relationship after a horrid divorce a few years back. Mine is pretty non existent but still having fun none the same. There is light at the end of the tunnel but its not the colour or brightness I expected ;-)
