My hospital refused to book me in for an MRI. So diagnostic process has stalled. My PSA is 24.5. A week before it was 29.
The reason given by the MRI unit is that I have Deep Brain Stimulation equipment in my head and chest for Parkinson's. I have an MRI setting but the MRI unit still have concerns.
Has anyone else been refused an.MRI?
What is the alternative?

I don't know what the alternative to an MRI scan is but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the page where it'll hopefully be seen by someone who can help.
Do you have a cancer nurse specialist (CNS) or key worker assigned to you who you could speak to to find out if there is an alternative scan that you can have?
