Hi my younger sister (46) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer recently . This is the Third cancer in my family (prostate and ovarian) and it has been confirmed caused by the mutation of the brca gene. The mass is 4cm at the head of the pancreas. It is advanced but. localised. At the moment cannot be operated because it is close to a vein. However she is starting chemo next week and they are doing the genetic Mapping. She is in a great hospital for pancreatic cancer (Verona Italy) and she sounded optimistic after speaking to the oncologist. I hope she can have the whips procedure. I hope her cancer shrinks. She didn’t have any symptoms until 2 weeks ago. A very bad back pain and dark urine. I’m so afraid for her. I guess I’m asking for positive stories. Also I’m feeling guilty to live. I know survival guilt is quite common and I have asked for counselling. Many thanks for any reply. Anna
