Hi everyone , I'm not sure what to do for the best.
My dad was admitted to a and e in October with severe pain in his side , he stayed in for two weeks .
Biopsies we're taken several times as the first set wernt good enough.
At the end of January he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer , he was told that he would need surgery within a fortnight.
However for what ever reason they changed their minds with a view to do chemo instead .
We are now at the end of March and chemo has still not begun , he has lost so much weight ,he doesn't eat anything (he's diabetic) .
He's in constant pain he doesn't sleep and im not sure what to do ! I've messaged the oncologist nurse hoping that she will get in touch tomorrow. He is seen regularly by the district nurse .
I've not been through this before ,is this amount of time to wait for treatment normal?? I feel now that chemo wouldn't benefit him as he is so weak .
Any advice appreciated xx
