He’s only 32 . Is anyone else caring for a child with this awful sneaky disease?
To make matters worse , he is also a paraplegic/ wheelchair user .

  • Hi

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

I can see that you've also joined the carers only group and it might be an idea to also post this message there. Although you might not connect with someone who is caring for a child with pancreatic cancer , you will connect with others who are caring for a child with cancer.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your son's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi Sparkle

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Actually I feel for you both.

I'm on the same journey as your son but 54 years.  It doesn't ever seem fair.

I don't think I can answer your fears or worries as a parent.  I have gained a friend from here, who is similar age and I've stolen her idea of we are taking it for the team (our family).  To watch a child in pain is so difficult hence why I will not pretend to know.

All I can offer is my best wishes, comfort to you to know if you need to rant I will listen.

    Hugs to you both

    Lisa
