Evening,
I’m new here. Trying to gain knowledge to help support my mum who has today been told she is being treated for the above cancer and will be having surgery in just over a week to remove most of her pancreas her spleen and her gallbladder.
She is already panicking about work etc because of her outgoing bills. How can I find out about her entitlements if any, to try and take this added worry away from her?
Many Thanks
Hi Sjc5 welcome to the forum and i am so very sorry to hear what has happened for you and your mum..
I think the best thing I could advise you to do is to give the Macmillan Line a call and maybe speak to one of their welfare officers who can maybe chat with you and talk you through what your mum could maybe have access to to help support her whilst she isn't in work.

Very best wishes to you both and I hope that the operation goes smoothly and well. x
