My friend has just been diagnosed with high grade non hodgkin lymphoma with tumours on his pancreas.
He is starting a chemotherapy called r - chop and I want to know what we can expect and how best I can support him
Hi Khrys15 I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups. I don’t normally post in this group but just came across your post this morning.
Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL) in not Pancreatic Cancer…. NHL is a cancer of the blood so the NHL can appear ‘anywhere’ in the body including the pancreas.
R-CHOP would not be used for treating Pancreatic Cancer but is widely used in the treatment of NHL.
Could I suggest you join and post in our general Non-Hodgkin lymphoma group or if it’s specifically Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma he has (the most common type) post in that group.and we can help you more.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
